How the Brilliant warranty repair process works
The warranty repair process is designed to be easy, hassle-free and, most importantly, reliable. Brilliant ceiling fans and light fittings are installed permanently by an electrician, so rather than asking you to take the product down and return it, Brilliant handle warranty repairs through a support call. Once the call is lodged, they arrange for a technician to visit, investigate the fault and repair or replace the unit as needed.
The process begins with a simple call or email to the customer service team. They will guide you through the necessary steps and assist at every stage. Their expert technicians will promptly diagnose and fix any issues as soon as possible. You can read the full warranty terms and lodge a claim on the Brilliant Lighting warranty page.
What you will need before you lodge a claim
Brilliant need to confirm two things before they send a technician: that the product is within its warranty period, and that it was installed correctly by a licensed electrician. Faults caused by incorrect installation are not covered, which is why installation evidence is requested. Have the following ready:
- Proof of purchase. Your Greenhse Technologies invoice or receipt showing the product and the purchase date. If you have lost it, contact us and we can look it up for you.
- Evidence of licensed installation. One of the following is enough:
- A copy of the electrical certificate of compliance, provided by the electrician when he installed the units.
- OR a copy of the electrician's electrical licence.
- OR a copy of the invoice from your electrician for the installation of the fans.
- Photos of the installation. You will need to send a photo of the fan installation and the wall isolating switch as well, and sometimes they ask for a photo of the remote (front and back).
The photo of the wall isolating switch shows that the fan has its own means of isolation, as required for a compliant installation. The photo of the remote, front and back, lets the support team identify the receiver and remote model and check for pairing or battery issues before a technician is sent.
Contacting Brilliant
You could also send an email first to see if they know what the problem is. Many faults, such as a fan that will not respond to the remote or a light that flickers on one setting, have known causes, and the support team may be able to talk you through a fix without a site visit. Email Brilliant Lighting support with a short description of the fault, the product name, your proof of purchase and the photos listed above.
You can contact them by phone on 03 9765 2555. Note that this is Eastern States time, so Brilliant's office hours run two or three hours ahead of Perth depending on daylight saving. Calling before lunchtime Perth time gives you the best chance of reaching someone the same day.
Tips for a smooth claim
- Keep your Greenhse invoice and your electrician's certificate of compliance together in one place from the day of installation. They are the two documents every warranty claim needs.
- Do not remove or dismantle the fan or light before the technician visits. Warranty work is carried out on the installed unit.
- Describe the fault clearly: when it started, whether it happens on every speed or setting, and whether the wall switch or remote is used. This helps the technician arrive with the right parts.
- Take the photos in good light so the model label, wiring cover and switch are easy to read.
- If the product was installed by an electrician you found through Greenhse, we may be able to help you obtain a copy of the installation invoice.
Where Greenhse fits in
Greenhse Technologies supplies Brilliant fans and lighting, but the manufacturer's warranty is administered by Brilliant themselves. That is why the claim goes to their support team rather than back to our showroom. We are still here to help: we can confirm your purchase details, reissue an invoice, explain which document Brilliant are asking for, and advise whether the symptom you are seeing is a warranty matter or an installation issue for your electrician.
Lodging a Brilliant warranty repair is straightforward once you have your proof of purchase, evidence of licensed installation and a few photos ready. For any help with a Brilliant product bought from us, or advice on fans and lighting for your home, contact Greenhse Technologies in Perth on (08) 9297 2969 or visit the showroom at 5/1 Locke Lane, Ellenbrook WA 6069.
